What mesa-backup is
mesa-backup is a personal, single-user tool that uploads encrypted backup archives of its owner's own server to the owner's own Google Drive. It is not a public service, and nobody other than its owner signs in to it.
Data the app accesses
The app uses the Google Drive drive.file scope. This lets it create, read, update and delete only the files and folders that the app itself created. It has no access to any other file in the owner's Google Drive, and it does not access Gmail, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google service.
The files the app stores are backup archives of the owner's server settings. They are encrypted on the owner's server before upload, so Google never receives them in readable form.
Data collection and sharing
mesa-backup does not collect personal information from users, and it does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. It does not share, sell or transfer data to any third party. Backup files stay in the owner's Google Drive and on the owner's own server.
This website consists of static pages. Its hosting provider may keep standard server logs of page requests.
Google API Services User Data Policy
mesa-backup's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access and deleting data
The owner can revoke the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions and can delete the app's files from Google Drive at any time.
Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to the developer contact email shown on the app's Google sign-in consent screen.
